Per chi non volesse proprio privarsi di nulla sulla giā benequipaggiata Mandrakelinux č d'obbligo questa semplicee veloce procedura che gli permetterā di sfoggiare un'orgogliosa iconadi Synaptic,il noto gestore grafico dei pacchetti deb ed rpm, sul proprio desktoppreferito. (Schermate)
INSTALLAZIONE
Da terminale con privilegi da root digitare:
urpmi.addmedia contrib_cooker ftp://ftp.ens-cachan.fr/mirror/Mandrakelinux/devel/cooker/i586/media/contrib with media_info/hdlist.cz
urpmi synaptic
CONFIGURAZIONE
Per Mandrakelinux Official 10.1 editare il file di configurazione/etc/apt/sources.list in modo da contenere le seguenti stringhe:
# INIZIO Package repository URL's PER Mandrakelinux Official 10.1
# Signed repositories have a [<key>] where <key> is thename of the key
# as it appears in vendors.list. If you remove it, no digital signaturecheck
# will be made.

# You can also get mirrors from easyurpmi.zarb.org
# format is simple :
# 1) rpm is the type of archive
# 2) server is the path to the main directory
# 3) list is the relative path to the list, from the main directory
# 4) rpms is the relative path to the rpms, from the main directory
# you cannot use synthesis.hdlist, but you can take a hdlist.src, toinstall SRPM
# with apt.

ESECUZIONE
Avviare Synaptic e premere il pulsante reload peraggiornare la lista dei pacchetti (sono circa 25MB a lista quindipazientare).
Ora č possibile aggiornare il proprio sistema, installare edisinstallare applicazioni in modo totalmente automatizzato.
